New banking platform for underserved customers in Ireland

23 November 2016

Irish company Payment Cloud Technologies is introducing its digital banking service called bank.VISION. The new platform is meant to help various institutions provide financial services of the bank level to customers. With bank.VISION  clients will have access to the financial convenience provided by conventional banking accounts. The service will be accessible through an array of channels, including mobile devices on the basis of iOS and Android operating systems.

The first institution to offer banking services through bank.VISION platform is An Post, the largest post service company in Ireland. An Post will be offering the new financial functionality across 1,100 locations of the company in Ireland.

An executive from Payment Cloud Technologies noted in the press release that the product was developed to allow its partners to provide access to a wider audience of consumers who have been previously underserved or who at the moment are paying for financial services not meeting their needs.

According to the statistical data 2.5 billion people across the globe are overboard of the conventional retail banking pool. With bank.VISION customers will no longer be underserved and will have equal opportunities like the institutions that have been previously prevented from entering the market to deliver financial services.
