CircleThis week Circle, a Boston-based P2P payments technology company, announced the addition of another cryptocurrency, Monero, to the list in its Invest application. The announcement comes just a week after the startup reported the addition of Zcash to its trading platform.

In the blog post the company said that apart from other cryptocurrencies and tokens, investors will be able to buy and make investments into Monero. Circle is currently offering Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and Litecoin.

The blog post further adds that after welcoming Zcash in the coin family of its Circle Invest application, now it is expanding its collection through the addition of Monero as a new listed cryptocurrency asset, which brings the total number of supported digital currencies to 7.

Circle also noted that it plans to introduce more updates to the application, including the information on “how we think about adding assets into our products”.

Earlier this year, Circle announced the acquisition of Poloniex, a Delaware-based cryptocurrency exchange for an undisclosed amount. Circle noted in the statement that from that moment Poloniex would be addressing a key aspect of the product formation for the company, providing a marketplace for open global token trading.
