CoinMarketCap website introduces an iOS mobile application

CoinMarketCapCoinMarketCap, a website providing information about market capitalization and exchange rates of major cryptocurrencies, announced the launch of the first of its kind mobile application timed to the fifth anniversary of the service.

According to the official statement made by the startup, the application will initially be available for iOS devices. CoinMarketCap is a service reporting the current ranking of the cryptocurrencies in the market, including premium coins and new tokens. The service is one of the highly visited Internet destinations in the world, with Alexa ranking the website at 174th place. CoinMarketCap has seen 60 million unique visits so far.

Brandon Chez, a CEO of CoinMarketCap, noted that the cryptocurrency ranking space has substantially expanded over the past years, and given the anniversary the company decided to launch something exceptional for their users.

Users may access CoinMarketCap’s application from iTunes Store for free. The application will feature ads during the use. In a separate statement CoinMarketCap also reported the introduction of a new logo.

Current rivals of CoinMarketCap service includes Thompson Reuters, citing data for Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and XRP, and providing indices on the basis of information brought by CryptoCompare.
