This week Facebook introduced an array of new functions to its Safety Check service, including the introduction of fundraisers to allow people to raise required funds and ask for financial support when they find themselves in the focus of some crisis or disaster. Facebook reported that right in the Safety Check users will have an opportunity to create fundraising pages or make donations to charities or personal fundraising campaigns held by people in the cart. The new set of functions is coming to the social network within the following weeks, to be first launched in the US.

Private banking unit of the National Bank of Australia is in a deal with equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd that provides financing to various startups globally. This Israeli crowdfunding service initially came to the market of Australia back in 2014, but the NAB notes that it is the first time it is providing its customers with access to the world’s largest equity crowdfunding company.

United States based non-profit organization providing crowdfunding platform for grassroots projects GlobalGiving is expanding its presence into the Indian market through the partnership with Indian online crowdfunding service Impact Guru. The partnership will be focused on providing tax incentives for donors from the US and the UK to allow them make contributions to charities and non-government organizations based in India.
